About The Artist

Victor Barr was born in Egypt and migrated with his family to Israel as a small child, he lives in Jerusalem since 1984. Victor is a jewelry designer and a spiritual student of many paths, practicing Buddhist meditation for over 20 years.  The drive to design art objects had been dormant for quite a few years in which he followed different paths: an international traveler- mainly in the third world countries of Latin America (The Mayan area- southern Mexico, Guatemala, Belize) for a few years, and a multi lingual guide for adventure trips in the Sinai Desert, taking small groups of people from all over the world on high mountain treks, around the area of mount Sinai or by 4X4 to explore the beauty of south Sinai wilderness.

The opportunity to express the artistic drive surfaced around 1990, when he became an apprentice with one of the leading masters of Judaica (Jewish Ceremonial artistic crafts) in Jerusalem .

Within a short period he embarked on his own way and opened a small studio in which he creates jewelry inspired by ethnic motives, ancient designs found in archaeological sites in and around Jerusalem and contemporary elements.

In the past years, he was drawn to vortex points and sacred sites in and around Jerusalem, where he often practices meditation with groups of people and friends.

One of the most significant of these sites is the Qumran area- the main Essenes settlement, famous for excavation of the Dead Sea Scrolls in several caves about fifty years ago. As a result of these practices, he gained important insights and improved alignment with subtle energies, and was inspired to create this collection of Energetic Jewelry.

The First Energetic pendant, The Dead Sea Scroll pendant, was designed originally as a Judaica pendant depicting Jewish symbols, some time after it was created and by "accident" it was offered as a present to a very gifted French psychic (Marie Anne Maisse, from Southern France) who was the first one to recognize the special energetic qualities that are transmitted through this pendant and that are connected to Christ consciousness through Qumran. Apparently, the many hours of meditation in Qumran inspired sub-consciously the creation of this Energetic tool and later on it became a conscious creative process, which led to the creation of more items.
